Mission Impossible:  Fallout

Mission Impossible:Fallout has a very exciting scene where Tom Cruise rides a motorcycle around the Arc de Triomphe, against traffic.  This was not filmed on a set, it was really filmed at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.  Below are clips from the movie in Paris.  The Arc de Triomphe is located at Place Charles de Gaulle, 75008 Paris.  Their official website is here:  Arc de Triomphe

The London Eye

The official website of the London Eye is here:  The London Eye  Tickets are 29 pounds per adult if you purchase them online.  If you purchase them in person they are 39 pounds each.  There are other more expensive options, such as a fast track ticket or ticket combined with a river cruise.  It is open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the summer, and 6 p.m. in other seasons except on certain occasions.  You can book your tickets up to 5 months in advance.

The London Eye is located at Riverside Building, County Hall, Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1 7PB.  It is 443 feet high.  It is also known as the Millennium Wheel and was designed as part of a competition to design something to bring in the new millennium.  It opened in 2000.  It is on the edge of the Thames River and offers 360 degree views as it spins around.  It is the tallest observation wheel in the world.  It is on a slow rotation, with each ride taking about 30 minutes.  It rotates slow enough for passengers to climb in and out as it continues rotating.  

Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge was built between 1886 and 1894.  It is 940 feet long, and the towers on either side are 213 feet high.  It crosses the Thames River and is relatively close to the London Bridge, about a 14 minute walk between the two bridges.  The address of Tower Bridge is Tower Bridge Road, London SE1 2UP, United Kingdom.  You can walk across the lower section of the Tower Bridge at no cost and at any time, but if you want to climb the towers and walk across the upper portion, you have to book your tickets in advance.  We arrived at the Tower Bridge in November 2024 and attempted to buy tickets on the spot, but it was fully booked.  I wish we had reserved them in advance.  Here is their official website:  Tower Bridge

The cost is 16 pounds for adults and 8 pounds for children, and as long as you book your tickets one day ahead, you should be fine.  Buying tickets allows you to walk on the glass floors and east and west walkways, and visit the engine rooms and towers.  It is open from 9:30 am until the last visit time of 4:30 p.m.  Their website also tells you when to expect a bridge lift, which is when the lower part of the bridge lifts in the center to allow ships to pass through on the river.
