Mission Impossible

The first movie in the Mission Impossible series was filmed in large part in Prague, Czechia. The film was made in 1996 and stars Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, a secret agent for IMF (Impossible Missions Force). In May of 2024 I went on a road trip with my son's family and visited 9 countries in Europe. While touring Czechia, we visited Prague. I was excited to visit sites where Mission Impossible was filmed!

Old Town Square

One of the main scenes that was filmed in Prague was in Old Town Square. This was the scene where Ethan Hunt threw explosive gum at the aquarium in the restaurant that he and Kittridge were eating at and the aquarium blew up, flooding the square with water. This scene begins at 31:58 into the film.

Charles Bridge

Charles Bridge is where Jim supposedly ties and falls into the water at 20:26 in the film. Ethan is seen climbing the stairs onto the bridge and running along Charles Bridge.
