Starship Troopers
I must admit that I had never heard of the 1997 movie Starship Troopers until I learned that it was filmed in Hell's Half Acre in Wyoming. The unearthly landscape made it the perfect setting for this sci-fi film. The movie is rated R, and since I have a rule never to watch rated R movies, I have never seen it. But you can watch the trailer here: Starship Troopers Official Trailer
You can visit Hell's Half Acre by heading to highway 26 in the direction of Casper, Wyoming and pull over when you see the signs for Hell's Half Acre. You have no idea from the road what you're about to encounter. Park and walk to the edge -- and then you will understand!

Currently you can't explore without going through the fences because the city of Casper is planning to redo the parking area and add amenities to make Hell's Half Acre a more desirable tourist stop.
